John Ruan, founder of Ruan Transportation Management Systems (Ruan), passed away on February 13, 2010. Mr. Ruan was born on February 11, 1914 and died at the age of 96.

Land O'Lakes, Inc. today donated 38,880 lbs. of LAND O LAKES® Mild Cheddar Cheese to Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin, a member of Feeding America, in the company's ongoing efforts to help alleviate hunger.

After more than 35 years in the transportation industry and 11 years with Ruan Transport Corporation, Mike Kandris has retired from his role as Ruan's President – Western Division. Taking his place as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Ruan's Western Division is Jim Mulvenna, formerly Ruan's Vice President of Safety and Administration and Director of Training and Management Development.

Dr. Norman E. Borlaug, the man who "saved more lives than any other person who has ever lived," has died. He was 95 years old.
