In 2009, Ruan launched the Driver of the Year program to recognize exceptional driver performance for the previous year. Our DOY candidates exemplify our standards of safety, customer service, dedication, and professionalism. Each Driver of the Year—one out of Ruan’s 4,400 professional drivers—is honored with a trophy, a cash reward, and the title of Driver of the Year for the recognition year.
We began our selection process with operation-level finalists. These 167 finalists were selected by their on-site managers from locations across the country. Next month, we'll announce the 11 drivers who will comprise our 2020 Winners' Circle. The Winners' Circle will be celebrated in September during our annual Driver and Operation of the Year events, and one of the honorees will be named our 2020 Driver of the Year.
