"My husband and I were traveling east on I-80 between Lake Point, UT and Salt Lake City, UT. The roads were covered in packed snow and snow was blowing across the interstate highway. We had passed three different vehicles that slid off the road. We had been passed by a couple trucks on the highway, leaving my husband blinded by blown snow. Conditions were severe. As we passed your driver we were both impressed. We saw that he had BOTH hands on the wheel, had his flashers on, and was driving both cautiously and aware. My husband has had his CDL for almost 20 years, has over a million miles. He is rarely impressed by the OTR drivers; he was, however, impressed by your driver. He even said "Now, that's how it should be, especially in this kind of weather." We would like to thank you and especially your driver for his courtesy and consideration. We hope you pass this message along and thank him for us."

In my personal experience, Ruan drivers are by far the safest and most courteous. This morning in particular, Hwy 97 was blanketed in fog and visibility was poor at best. When preparing to pull out from my drive onto Hwy 97 I saw an oncoming vehicle in the distance. I had plenty of time to pull out safely but I waited. I can't tell you how pleased I was to see that it was one of your drivers because I knew that I could safely follow them. I don't know what makes your drivers/training so special but I do sincerely appreciate it!!!

Yesterday, as I went to work, I found myself traveling behind a Ruan truck that had just come from a construction site. There was gravel in the tires and the potential for rocks hitting my windshield was high. This truck, however, had a heavy fabric shield hanging behind the entire width of the truck, catching hundreds of rocks along the way, which bounced harmlessly back to the ground and never gained any height to hit a vehicle. Please thank any construction truck driver who uses a shield like that. You have no idea how much I appreciate that simple, thoughtful act!

I was driving from Mount Vernon, IL to Palatine, IL in bad weather, just came out of an ice storm when I got behind one of your drivers somewhere near Effingham, IL. I stayed behind him until he turned off towards Indianapolis just before Champaign, IL. He kept an even pace, allowing me to trail in his tracks and get through the storm safely and I want to thank him! I saw several cars in the ditches along the way, cars that were trying to pass trucks and people like me who were going slower and safer. Once I got to Champaign, the weather cleared up and I was VERY thankful for my truck escort along the way.
