Associate Business Unit Support Analyst
This position prepares and analyzes data from various sources providing reliable conclusions that management can use to implement more effective operational strategies and monitors financial results in relation to budgeting and forecasting expectations.
  • Research, review and analyze key operational and financial metrics utilizing business intelligence, dashboard applications and multiple external data sources. Identify data errors, discrepancies and reporting issues. Communicate results to business partners and leaders from various functional areas.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data while comparing results to the company’s goals, budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Perform trend and variance analysis. Perform cost/benefit analysis and develop financial forecasts.
  • Work with project teams and functional leaders to determine business reporting needs and requirements, develop and maintain appropriate documentation, and manage data analysis projects.
  • Monitor and support enterprise adoption of common and consistent measurements and reporting tools to encourage data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education. Course(s) of study: Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or related field of study.
  • 0-2 years’ experience with operations, data analytics, process improvement preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, pivot tables and macros), Sequel, Power BI, or other reporting tools in addition to MS Office Suite. Candidate must have strong statistical analysis abilities.
  • Excellent math skills with ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.  
  • Must have ability to set priorities and accomplish duties of position with little supervision or direction.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.  
  • Must be self-directed and self-motivated, with an ownership mentality and willingness to "roll up your sleeves" working at all levels of the organization.
