Associate IT Technician
Under general supervision, configure, install and inventory IT end user equipment which may include onboard computers, desktops, laptops, printers, BYOD, smart phones, faxes, tablets for the enterprise and field end users. Includes peripherals, accessories and monitors.  Participate in on-call rotation for critical support escalations outside of core hours.
  • Configure, build, install equipment, applications and or software for end users. Ability to proactively anticipate user’s needs.  May include in-vehicle wiring and docking solutions.  Includes accurate and timely inventory management of devices, parts and accessories.
  • Research, diagnose and apply correct resolution of IT equipment malfunctions.  Including the distribution and functioning of installed computer programs and applications.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to end users while anticipating user needs.
  • Remove old equipment and assure the data is transferred and updated.
  • Adheres to department policies and support KPI data collection.  Has awareness of operational, procedural and performance reports.
  • Analyze tools used in the role, equipment and software options to make recommendations based on operational needs.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
  • Associate, Vocational, or Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft products and operating systems
  • Employee must have knowledge of technologies and how they can be leveraged to meet business needs. 
  • Employee should have strong working knowledge of MS Windows Operating System and all applicable hardware and software programs. 
  • Employee should have demonstrated ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary. 
  • Ability to work under limited time constraints. 
  • Ability to set priorities and accomplish duties of position with supervision and direction.
