Tax and License Coordinator
Prepare title and lien applications for vehicles.  Interpret complex license and permit regulations and apply for new and renewed licenses and permits.  Prepare, file and remit sales tax returns and federal heavy vehicle use tax returns.
  • Interpret regulations and apply for new and renewed licenses and permits to meet all regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare and process title and lien applications on new vehicles and company name changes.  Research and analyze data and to determine the correct documentation required. 
  • Investigate and research complex licensing and permit requirements.  Licensing and permits includes but not limited to vehicles, business and hazmat.  Interpret regulations and apply for new and renewed licenses and permits to meet all regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare, file and remit specific tax returns; including, but not limited to sales and federal heavy vehicle use tax in multiple jurisdictions across the company.  Analyze data and determine that all information is included and accurately stated to ensure correct returns are filed.
  • Update and maintain computer databases, spreadsheets and/or systems.
  • Employee should have strong math skills with the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. Requires the ability research discrepancies and problem-solve.  Individual must have excellent communication skills.  
  • Must have ability to interpret documents and apply logical understanding.  Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.  Should have good analytical skills.  
  • Requires strong attention to detail and accuracy.  Must have the ability to multi-task and process a high volume of work.  Requires ability to set priorities and accomplish duties of position with little supervision and direction.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required. 
  • Associate, Vocational, or Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
    Course(s) of Study:  Accounting, Business or related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Bookkeeping, Tax and Licensing, or related experience.
