Manager of IT - Delivery
 
Manages/supervises an area within a department or single functional area within information technology.  Responsible for instructing, assigning, directing and checking the work of IT staff.  IT Managers will collaborate and coordinate activities with other IT internal teams as well as cross functional areas of the organization.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communications, recruiting, training, coaching, counseling, appraising, rewarding, developing, and succession planning. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. 
  • Lead individuals in an IT delivery environment.  Deliver strategic initiatives through the agile methodology and supporting team members to successfully deliver deployments.  Provide oversight for production support and system enhancements to ensure the health of the application and growth of team.  
  • Manage the day to day work direction and projects for team members. Develop operational goals and metrics to drive efficiency of the teams. 
  • Develop and assign project tasks to team members and serve as team lead to challenge, motivate and evaluate their progress. Monitor project status and results against schedule and budget and provide ongoing reports to management.  
  • Anticipate and address problems. Work to ensure the user community and support teams are ready to accept and use updates and rollouts of new functionality.
  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of IT processes, procedures, and policies in accordance with the IT strategy and vision.
  • Partner and collaborate with customers and vendors to scope, plan, and implement projects that enable Ruan to serve new or current customers.
  • Ensure that employees follow established company's processes and procedures for IT systems.
  • Build and develop business relationships both internally and externally.
  • Identify, implement, and monitor continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required. 
 
 
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or closely related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 6-9 years of experience in Information Technology with demonstrated leadership skills and 2-3 years of personnel supervisory experience.
  • Requires working knowledge of databases, development languages, IT project management, financial reporting, and software development and Agile methodologies.  Needs the ability to manage multiple projects according to priorities and strategic direction.  Must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. 
  • Requires planning and organizational skills, problem-solving, communication, presentation, analytical, leadership, negotiation and effective relationship building.
  • Knowledge of common transportation and logistics processes a plus.
