Training & Development Specialist 
This person will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training resources related to Ruan’s technical systems. 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Consult with internal subject matter experts to learn and analyze training needs and success measures. Build and maintain relationships for ongoing success.
  • Design, develop, and deliver meaningful training resources in a blended learning approach including but not limited to: online learning modules/tutorials, videos, job aids, hosted webinars, and classroom training materials. 
  • Develop an overall learning curriculum and delivery approach for Ruan’s primary dispatch system, suitable for new and existing users and accessible across all business locations.
  • Use courseware development and web production technologies to create and publish stand-alone eLearning coursesdevelop and align learning resources in accordance with organizational learning and brand standards.
  • Measure, monitor and continuously update learning resources as needed for ongoing relevance and success.
  • Apply knowledge of adult learning principles and industry best practices to engage all team members. Manage multiple program facets such as budget, promotion, delivery and evaluation.
  • Provide expertise to determine specific needs and appropriate learning solutions for teams, individuals, and other targeted audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Training and Development, Human Resources, or related field of study, or equivalent years of work-related experience.
  • Proven instructional design experience developing learning resources for online and in-person audiences.
  • Knowledge of adult learning and organizational development theory and practice; training needs analysis, design, delivery, and measurement. Must be experienced online learning technologies. Experience with Camtasia and/or Adobe Captivate is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and consultation skills, with the ability to effectively interact and facilitate learning with groups of all sizes using a variety of learning technologies. 
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with others, understand business objectives, and relate those to learning and development strategies/programs. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment. Experience supporting a multi-site, multi-state organization preferred. 
  • Requires ability to balance dynamic workload and manage time appropriately. 
  • Demonstrated experience in project management preferred. 
  • Occasional travel may be required.
