Operations Account Specialist
On-site operations team member providing support to an operation in such areas as training, employee and process assessment, project management operational and financial analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. This position will support daily operational activities. 
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators for an operation and assist in the development of action plans to improvement performance.
  • Support operations objectives through the collection, preparation and evaluation of data related to operational, financial and customer performance.
  • Administer, monitor and evaluate internal key operational and customer processes. Conduct remedial and new team member training.
  • Identify and resolve delivery and scheduling problems through timely communication with customers, drivers, vendors and other Ruan locations.
  • Responsible to coach and counsel drivers in such areas as safety, performance, productivity and morale.
  • Perform additional functions to include payroll, billing, post-accident reviews, financial analysis.
  • Manage and support a variety of projects and initiatives that impact customer, operation and team member performance.
  • Properly use the Ruan transportation management systems to ensure all required operational data is accurately captured in a near real-time manner  
  • Actively promote and support employee safety programs, policies and initiatives. Ensure compliance with all safety programs and protocols as well as federal, state and local regulations.  
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business or related field of study or equivalent work experience. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in transportation related field.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite along with the ability to become proficient in multiple systems.
  • Knowledge of dispatch operations, transportation management and logistic solutions with a broad knowledge in DOT rules and regulations.
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and take direction from multiple operational leaders.
  • Solid math skills with the ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
