Logistics Engineering Analyst
 
The purpose of this position is to improve the productivity, quality, performance and profitability of company operations and service offerings by applying engineering methods and analysis to a variety of business opportunities and problems.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze data, determine sample size, and use software tools such as DirectRoute, R2.0 and JDA Transportation Modeler to create solutions that improve both company and customer processes.  
  • Lead design and pricing projects.  Work with all project principals in understanding scope, leading meetings, coordinating work and meeting deadlines.  Work alongside Vice Presidents of Operations in sharing financial responsibility for current and new business operations that emerge from engineering/analysis projects.
  • Create analysis summaries, KPIs, new business pro formas and proposal documents for customer presentations and rate submission.
  • Lead customer-facing and internal presentations of completed engineering and design projects
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain Logistics, engineering, business, finance or related field.
  • 1-5 years’ experience; performing analytical, supply chain, logistics, operations, and/or related type work.  Depending upon experience, candidate could be in a Logistics Analyst l role or Logistics Analyst ll.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
  • Experience with optimization software and TMS  
  • Experience in Third Party Logistics preferred 
  • Experience with Tableau preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must have proven innovation and problem-solving skills.  
  • Must be able to prioritize workload in a multi-task environment.
