QA Automation Developer

Our mission is to employ the best team in the industry to move our customers' business safely, efficiently and on time, every time. Ruan is seeking a QA Automation Developer to analyze, design, develop and implement new or existing application tests using Agile methodologies.  The QA Automation Developer will work in a team environment to design and develop automated tests for enterprise level software applications and processes to meet the needs of the Ruan transportation management systems. The successful candidate will follow and improve established processes for the software development life cycle with an agile approach to delivering software. QA Automation Developers will work closely with the team on architecture, design and code reviews with a focus on quality.  Collaboration skills are an emphasis with business analysts and other agile roles to identify new opportunities for software innovation.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain automated tests for enterprise-level applications and software.  
  • Examine, critique, plan, develop, test, and document computer programs and systems.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure application development meets the needs of the business and follows IT guidelines and principles.
  • Understand how new or existing applications fit into current environment identifying risks, feasibility, cost and compatibility.
  • Contribute and adhere to company's software development life cycle.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvements and innovation.
  • Work with external vendors on development and defect resolution for the benefit of our stakeholders.
 
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years; Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Enterprise software development experience preferred.  
  • Ability to demonstrate working in a team environment required.
  • Experience using the Microsoft stack in addition to C#, SQL Server and .Net.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and techniques required.
  • Experience building a quality community of practice preferred. 
  • Understanding or experience of transportation logistics vendor systems a plus.
