Continuous Improvement Analyst 
Leads projects in all aspects of the business, focusing on Continuous Improvement processes, waste reduction, and problem-solving methods through the use of Six Sigma and Lean principles, tools, concepts, and methodologies. 
  • Executes CI projects utilizing a standard Ruan design with DMAIC framework and other Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. 
  • Works with teams to identify problems, analyzes information, and develops and implements process solutions.
  • Creates, keeps up to date, and sustains continuous improvement processes, metrics, and tools for assigned managers or departments, supporting key deliverables.
  • Works with colleagues and functional leaders in accomplishing project goals. 
  • Identifies barriers to success, and solicits help from leadership as and when needed.
  • Earns a black belt qualification in Ruan-specific design for CI principles and methodology within one year of hiring date and maintains qualification on an annual basis.
  • Reports on progress of CI projects using key metrics tied to the DMAIC process. 
  • Makes pertinent presentations to leadership concerning the status of process improvement as it relates to the bottom line.
  • Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, related field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Prefer 2 years of related experience in the transportation/supply chain industry with experience leading projects and providing continuous improvement. 
  • Practical experience with CI methodologies, to include Six Sigma and Lean; preferable candidates will be a green belt in Six Sigma.
  • Candidates must have ability to analyze and document complex business processes, make effective decisions under pressure, think analytically and be a problem solver by gathering and interpreting relevant data and information.
  • Must have strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
  • Must have customer service/relationship building skills.
  • Ability to travel at least 50%.
