Four supply chain and transportation publications recently included Ruan in a variety of lists highlighting industry leaders.
For more than 30 years, Logistics Management magazine has conducted an industry-wide survey to determine the best providers of transportation services and logistics. Once again, Ruan won the Quest for Quality Award in the Bulk Motor Carriers category. The Quest for Quality Award has been regarded in the transportation and logistics industry as the most important measure of customer satisfaction and performance excellence.
Food Logistics magazine named Ruan one of 100 top 3PLs that are helping food, beverage and CPG companies gain a competitive logistical advantage throughout the supply chain. Announced in Food Logistics’ July/August issue, the 100 companies, which are not ranked, offer a broad scope of services and capabilities that enable food companies to reduce costs, increase flexibility and improve service levels.
Ruan was again named to Transport Topics’ Top 100 For-Hire Carriers list for 2014 in the 38th spot. The carriers were assessed in categories such as revenue, revenue growth, number of employees, fleet size and services provided. Transport Topics also ranks the top for-hire carriers by sector, and Ruan was awarded the number five spot in the tank/bulk sector.
Ruan landed in Inbound Logistics magazine’s unranked list of the Top 100 3PL Providers. Inbound Logistics editors evaluated surveys, spoke with companies and customers and researched online to narrow the pool of 300 companies down to the top 100 3PL providers. The companies were assessed on logistics services and capabilities, geographic coverage and revenue generated from logistics activities.
Inbound Logistics also honored Ruan for the second year in a row for our sustainability efforts. The magazine selected Ruan as one of 75 Green Supply Chain Partners (G75), which represent the leading transportation companies in green supply chain management and logistics partnerships. Inbound Logistics’ methodology for selecting the G75 includes four benchmarks, including measurable green results, sustainability innovation, continuous improvement and industry recognition. Inbound Logistics considered more than 200 transportation and logistics companies for the distinction.
“Inbound Logistics readers have always recognized the importance of supply chain sustainability. The 2014 selection of top 75 Green Supply Chain Partners—including Ruan—are truly keeping to their word and staying conscious of their own supply chain sustainability,” said Felecia Stratton, editor of Inbound Logistics. “These 75 companies have an outstanding record of making the supply chain more efficient for customers, as well as internally within the business. By striving to become as green as possible, Ruan is included in this group of companies, and Inbound Logistics is extremely proud to honor their efforts and accomplishments.”
