About the Job

Ruan is looking for diesel technicians to be based in Muscatine, IA, to support maintenance for our dedicated customers. Must possess own tools and have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on diesel engine repair and preventative maintenance.

Essential Functions

  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections as specified, using mechanics hand tools and variety of shop equipment, which may include refrigeration, hydraulic jacks, welding and air pressure equipment, and other equipment as necessary.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform mechanical repairs and adjustments: liftgate, PTO, emissions, air conditioning/heating, cab, instruments, brakes, frame, steering, suspension, tires, wheels, drive train, electrical system, engine system, trailer, refrigeration, cryogenic trailers and pumping equipment, live floor trailers, and other components which may need repair with minimal assistance.
  • Complete work orders, charge parts, time cards, and other required documents using computer, manuals, parts book, and maintenance codes.

Schedule

We offer open availability to build your own working hours. You can choose to work either 4 or 5 days per week while completing a standard 40-hour schedule.

 

  • Sunday - Wednesday: 7:30am-6:00pm
  • Wednesday - Saturday:  7:30am-6:00pm
  • Monday-Friday: 9:30am-6:00pm
  • Tuesday-Saturday:  6:00am-2:30pm
  • Monday - Friday: 1:30pm - 10:00pm
