Ruan Announces its 2025 Driver and Operation of the Year

Earlier this week in Des Moines, Iowa, Ruan proudly celebrated and recognized a select group of our driving professionals and operations teams who represent the highest standards of safety, service, and professionalism within our organization and the transportation and logistics industry.

From across Ruan’s network, an elite group of drivers and operations earned a place in this year’s Winners’ Circle. Chosen from among 3,700 truck drivers and over 200+ Ruan operations, ten drivers, and three operations, represented by their respective local leaders, attended the annual Driver of the Year and Operation of the Year event. We congratulate and thank these Honorees for their hard work in 2025, which earned them well-deserved recognition across the organization.

During the multi-day celebration, a formal ceremony was held to honor each individual and operating group. The evening concluded with the reveal of our 2025 Driver of the Year and Operation of the Year:

Driver of the Year

Congratulations to Darrell Lattin of Madison, Wisconsin, on being named Ruan’s 2025 Driver of the Year! A member of the Ruan team since September 2011, Darrell brings 22 years of driving experience and recently expanded his role by becoming a Team Safety Instructor in January 2025. He is highly respected by both his teammates and our valued customer for his positive attitude, reliability, and expertise in navigating complex deliveries.

A customer letter of recommendation praised Darrell for the mentorship and guidance he provides to others, describing him as a dependable professional whose experience and willingness to help have earned the trust and respect of those around him.

We are proud of how Darrell represents Ruan as a top-performing driver in our industry.

Operation of the Year

Congratulations to our operation based in Greensboro, North Carolina, led by Dedicated Transportation Manager, Keeley Rich, for being named Ruan’s 2025 Operation of the Year! This team of nearly 100 logistics professionals remains steadfast in its support for our Enduring Partner in the retail grocery industry.

Operating 24/7, 362 days of the year, this dedicated team handles various grocery products and supports several customer locations throughout the Southeastern region. Delivering hundreds of loads per week, the operation exceeded the customer’s on-time percentage goal while minimizing Hours of Service violations across the operation in 2025.

In a letter of recommendation, the customer praised the Greensboro team for its reliability, strong communication, and proactive approach to problem-solving, noting that the operation consistently delivers results while serving as a trusted extension of the customer’s business.

Congratulations to this incredible team for their outstanding performance in 2025.
