How long have you been with Ruan?
I’ve been with Ruan for about two and a half years. I’ve been in the industry for over 20 years and have worked in automotive, buses (both transit and school), and diesel.
How many office team members are at your location?
We have one office team member and six technicians here in Turlock.
What industry does your team serve?
We primarily serve the West Coast dairy operation, but we also serve grocery and manufacturing customers.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I love a good challenge, always have. I take pride in performing my duties to the best of my availability and using creativity to accomplish my goals for my operation. I always aim to provide our professional drivers with the best looking, most reliable, and best performing equipment I can offer.
Coming from my experience in the bus world, I have a unique view on how repairs are completed as preventative maintenance procedures with a heavy focus on quality. My equipment moved people: mothers, fathers, children, etc. Today, it moves our valued professional drivers and our customers' products.
What advice would you give a technician new to the industry?
Take advantage of any and all training opportunities you’re presented with. Education and experience are both something you should personally invest in, and they can never be taken away.
Tell us about your life outside of work.
I’m a single dad with a 21-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son who lives at home. We have one dog, Daisy, a lab mix who is loved by all. I enjoy the outdoors, including fishing, hiking, camping, shooting trap and skeet.
