Q: Tell us a little about your career path and background.
I attended Iowa State University where I received my degree in marketing. Upon graduating, I knew that I loved building relationships with people and went into sales for the last three years before looking for something that better aligned with my strengths and interests, which is when I chose to pursue a career with Ruan. I was hired in March 2023, and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of such an incredible company!
Q: What do you enjoy most about recruiting for Ruan?
I enjoy getting to work alongside an amazing group of team members daily while learning from the industry’s best, which has been invaluable. Our recruiting team is very passionate about helping drivers and diesel technicians get started with their careers at Ruan.
Q: What types of positions are you currently recruiting for?
Currently, I’m assisting our recruiting team with a variety of driving positions, including regional and local work.
Q: What excites you about recruiting for Ruan?
What excites me the most about recruiting for Ruan is how exhilarated drivers are with the idea of driving for our family-owned company. We often receive calls from drivers who show interest in our positions who have been in the trucking industry for a long time. It is highly rewarding to help these professionals through our hiring process and matching them with their dream job.
Q: What question are you most frequently asked by prospective drivers and technicians?
I am frequently asked about our driver benefits and how up to date our equipment is. Ruan provides a variety of great benefits, including affordable health and wellness plans, paid time off, a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match, and more! We also ensure our drivers have late-model equipment.
Q: What would you tell someone who is on the fence about applying to be a driver or technician at Ruan?
I would say that not only do I receive a lot of calls from drivers who state they have heard nothing but wonderful things from other drivers about our positions, but I also receive calls from previous Ruan drivers that left for one reason or another and are itching to get back with us because of how happy they were while driving for Ruan.
