Ruan recently had the opportunity through the United Way of Central Iowa to provide transportation of a donated playground set to the AlRazi Academy in West Des Moines, IA. AlRazi Academy is a non-profit private educational institution that was founded for the purpose of giving the children an education that allows them to be successful in their future, play, learn and grow to be great citizens, and serve all humanities.
The school was without proper playground equipment on site. Fellow Iowa-based business Casey’s General Store heard of their need and donated its childcare center playground equipment to AlRazi Academy. With coordination from the United Way of Central Iowa, Ruan provided transportation of this playground equipment to the AlRazi site.
“For the longest time, I had this dream of what the academy could be. A place that has the means to give all children, regardless who they are or where they are from, those memorable friendships and moments in the playground during recess, a place that children will remember in the future as the beginning that jump-started their successful lives. The dream is already unfolding into a reality, and with your help it can begin to unfold completely,” said AlRazi Academy Director and Principal Ihsan Yaseen.
