Ruan is pleased to announce the promotion of Chad Willis to the role of Chief Transformation Officer (CTO). As part of his new role, Willis will lead our technology team, which includes our Information Technology, Operations Support Services, and Extended Operations Center teams.
The team is tasked with providing our Des Moines Campus and 300 operations across the country with fundamental technology solutions and systems integrations that enable them to work efficiently and securely. This includes supporting and enhancing our transportation management systems, custom applications, proprietary software, in-truck and office hardware, and more, along with accelerating the transformation of business processes to stay ahead of current and anticipated customer needs.
“Combining these three key teams under Chad’s leadership creates a transformative force to further support our strategic priorities,” said Chief Executive Officer Ben McLean. “As CTO, Chad will provide the leadership that enables connections across the organization and drives technology transformation and innovation at Ruan.”
Previously, Willis served as Ruan’s Senior Vice President of Safety, Compliance, and Operations Support. His extensive business experience spans many years within Ruan and other transportation firms. Willis’ prior operational and customer-facing roles afford him a unique, customer-centric understanding of our business.
