Ruan Announces Two New Vice Presidents

Des Moines, IA - Ruan Transport Corporation has promoted Rachel McLean to Vice President of Communications and Tara Meier to Vice President of Marketing.

 

As Vice President of Communications, McLean's duties include management and development of all internal communications processes, including initiatives to facilitate improved information distribution and collaboration among Ruan's 5,200 employees.

 

McLean received a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Prior to joining Ruan, she was employed with Starcom Worldwide where she developed and executed proprietary digital media research.

 

McLean also received a Master of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies from Northwestern.

 

As Vice President of Marketing, Meier's duties include managing the planning, development and implementation of Ruan's national marketing and public relations efforts. Meier also serves as the corporate spokesperson.

 

Meier is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. She previously worked at Spalding, American Athletic, Inc. (AAI), The Integer Group and MidAmerican Energy.
