During the recent American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference & Exhibition (MCE), Ruan truck driver, James Coviak, and truck driver apprentice, William “Ashton” Coviak, of Huntsville, AL, were recognized by Transport Topics as 2025 Trucking's Frontline Heroes for their extraordinary efforts to support communities impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Following the devastating Category 3 and 4 storms that struck several areas across the Southeast in 2024, James and Ashton saw an immediate need to assist those affected. Within just 24 hours, the Coviaks gathered essential supplies throughout their local community, loaded their truck, and hit the road to deliver much-needed relief to storm-stricken areas.
Their selfless efforts created a powerful ripple effect, bringing aid and hope to communities in need, earning their well-deserved distinction as this year’s Frontline Heroes from Transport Topics.
