Ruan Increases Vacation Accrual for New Drivers

Feb 7, 2022

As part of our People First Guiding Principle and desire to be a Great Place to Work, Ruan continuously makes investments in our team members. That’s why beginning in February, all full-time drivers with less than two years of employment at Ruan will begin to earn vacation at a higher rate. The annual vacation accrual rate for these drivers will increase from 40 to 80 hours, providing additional flexibility for these team members when scheduling time away from work.

“We believe this change will offer our current drivers more balance between work and home time, and it is another great incentive for prospective drivers to join the Ruan team,” said Director of Human Resources Crystal Franke. “In addition to this increased vacation time accrual, Ruan also offers a benefits waiting period of only 30 days, weekly paychecks, late-model equipment, a seamless onboarding process for new drivers, and more.”

With more than 300 operations nationwide serving nearly all industries, Ruan offers the best CDL A jobs in the industry. Our truck drivers are afforded the flexibility to find the right professional fit and opportunities for growth.

Moreover, our drivers' schedules are predictable with both home daily and regional operations, as well as weekends or consecutive days off. Drivers have local managers and dispatchers at most locations, and we assign drivers to one primary customer. This means our truck drivers handle the same type of equipment and cargo on most runs, allowing them to develop relationships with our customers. Our work culture and benefits provide our drivers with an excellent work-life balance, something many truck drivers never experience. As a result of all this, our driver retention rate is four times the industry average!
