We recently concluded our 2018 United Way of Central Iowa campaign, and it was a great success! United Way of Central Iowa (UWCI) is a voluntary, non-profit organization that brings together community volunteers and agencies to provide health and human services to individuals who live or work in central Iowa. The organization supports those individuals in the areas of income, health, and education through its own initiatives and a variety of participating organizations. In fact, UWCI has earned a four-star rating for 13 straight years from Charity Navigator, an independent charity watchdog organization. This designation puts UWCI in the top 1 percent of charities nationwide.

Each year, Ruan team members working in the corporate office are invited to participate in the campaign that supports central Iowans in need. Ruan offers team member participation-based incentives and matches each donation, dollar-for-dollar. This year, 239 total team members participated in the campaign and contributed to Ruan’s $228,500 donation to the United Way of Central Iowa! Of our team member donors, 35 donated at the leadership level of $1,000 or more.

Ruan was also recently awarded the Game Changer Award from UWCI for our 2017 campaign. This award is given to honor organizations for their dedication, innovation, and success in giving.  Thank you to all Ruan team members for their continued support of the UWCI campaign and our community each year!
