Brokerage Sales Specialist
Responsible for vetting prospect companies, engaging various contact roles (user, financial decision maker, technical, coach) and determining transportation needs of prospective clients providing sales growth and maximizing revenues specific to Ruan Brokerage
 
Responsibilities:
  • Prospect for new accounts to generate new sales opportunities for Ruan services.  Develop strategies and sales campaigns to advance the opportunity to increase sales.
  • Determine customer needs, volume potential, and fit within Ruan brokerage.  Discuss with potential customer's Ruan's brokerage services.
  • Recognize opportunities as well as undesirable business to the organization.
  • Facilitate customer onboarding and transition to operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer business relationships and working relationships with co-workers including all levels of Ruan management, sales team and corporate support staff.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
    Course(s) of study:  Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain Logistics, Business or related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in customer service, brokerage operations, brokerage sales.
  • Must have outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork in accomplishing goals and objectives.  Must possess the ability to interact, communicate and present with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must act professionally and represent Ruan positively.  Needs ability to set priorities and accomplish tasks.  Must be able to utilize a variety of prospecting tools and databases.  
  • Strong computer skills required including the proficient use of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and demonstrate the ability to learn and efficiently navigate related software such as Sales force, Inside View, Data.com, etc.
