Associate Business Unit Support Analyst-Entry Level

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm 
Working onsite in the Ruan Center-Downtown Des Moines, IA
This position prepares and analyzes data from various sources providing reliable conclusions that management can use to implement more effective operational strategies and monitors financial results in relation to budgeting and forecasting expectations.
  • Research, review and analyze key operational and financial metrics utilizing business intelligence, dashboard applications and multiple external data sources. Identify data errors, discrepancies and reporting issues. Communicate results and recommendations to business partners and leaders from various functional areas. 
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data while comparing results to the company’s goals, budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Perform trend and variance analysis. Perform cost/benefit analysis and develop financial forecasts.
  • Work with project teams and functional leaders to determine business reporting needs and requirements, develop and maintain appropriate documentation, and manage data analysis projects.
  • Monitor and support enterprise adoption of common and consistent measurements and reporting tools to encourage data-driven decisions.
  • Review current business processes and supporting data to identify opportunities to improve business practices and processes, directly impacting cost savings and productivity improvements.
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, FinanceAccounting, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years’ experience with business and financial processes and metrics.
  • Must have strong statistical analysis experience. 
  • Expertise working with Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, pivot tables and macros), Sequel, Power BI and other reporting tools in addition to MS Office Suite. 
  • Candidates must have excellent math skills and ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.
