This position serves Ruan in generating new business and maintaining the profitability of current customers through analyzing industry and business development trends. Also provides strategic business development analysis that compliments all Ruan services. Work with Sales, Operations, and the Logistics Engineering team to establish pricing for all new opportunities while ensuring these prices are accurate and meeting company expectations.
Using a provided operational plan, create competitive pricing models that ensure company profitability.
Lead meetings with sales, engineering, and operations to review pricing proposals, gather feedback, and make adjustments.
Coordinate information with Ruan's legal department to modify transportation agreements as necessary and develop schedules and addendums for agreements.
Identify trends, advise company, and recommend actions based on sound analysis.
Ensure all administrative documents are kept updated for Management and Executive review.
Perform pricing/rating reviews to ensure our annual price increases are implemented on time and maintain our budgeted profitability.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Course(s) of Study: Business, Logistics, Transportation, Accounting, Finance.
1-2 years experience in a highly analytical role is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of supply chain pricing is very important. Very good working knowledge of MS Office products. Requires strong analytical and computer skills. Must have good interpersonal and relationship management skills and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork in accomplishing goals and objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have proven innovation and problem solving skills. Needs ability to set priorities and accomplish tasks.
