Managed Transportation Continuous Improvement Analyst
 
Leads projects in all aspects of the logistics freight management customer's business, focusing on continuous improvement processes, customer focused analytics, operational efficiencies, implementing efficiencies to achieve operational excellence and problem-solving methods through the use of Six Sigma and Lean principles, tools, concepts, and methodologies.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Executes CI projects utilizing a standard Ruan design with DMAIC framework and other Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Works with with internal team members and customer to identify problems, analyzes information, and develops and implements process solutions.
  • Responsible for the customer focus of key metrics and predictive analytics that drive business behavior.  
  • Leads and conducts data analysis projects to identify areas of opportunity for continuous improvement projects.
  • Creates, keeps up to date, and sustains continuous improvement processes, metrics, and tools for assigned team members, customer or departments in supporting key deliverables.
  • Works with colleagues and functional leaders in accomplishing project goals. Identifies barriers to success and solicits help from leadership as needed.
  • Develops and maintains professional customer relations via frequent communications to help facilitate a trusted and long term partnership.
  • Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
    Course(s) of study:  Logistics, Transporation, Engineering or related field of study
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Logistics Supply Chain industry with operational, process improvement, project management and analytics.
  • Practical experience with CI methodologies, to include Six Sigma and Lean.  
  • Track record of successful execution of cross-functional projects in a variety of business settings and situations.  Experience should include communication with high-level executives and efficient, goal-focused meetings.  
  • Employee should have broad knowledge of Microsoft Office products, e-mail, internet access, and computer-based project management software.  Employee must have ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. 
  • Employee must have ability to analyze and document complex business processes, make effective decisions under pressure, think analytically and be a problem solver by gathering and interpreting relevant data and information. 
  • Individual must be able to set priorities and accomplish duties with little and remote supervision and direction.
