Part-time Dispatch Support Coordinator - Internship
 
Ruan places talented, diverse undergraduate students in internship positions that offer a wide variety of experience. We have a current need to place an intern within Ruan’s Extended Operations Team as a Part-time Dispatch Support Coordinator.  This position will be one day a week every Saturday from 8-5pm and this is a PAID internship!  

You will be trained to provide seamless support and business continuity to Ruan's operations team members and customers outside of traditional work hours and provide services that can be more efficiently completed by a centralized team in Des Moines.  Assign workload for available drivers, monitor product movements and resolve delivery and scheduling issues. Properly monitor, edit and update the Ruan transportation management systems to ensure all required operational data is accurately captured in a near real-time manner.
 
 
Requirements;
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Experience with leadership and teamwork, especially outside the classroom.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and through written documents.
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to be highly organized.
  • Ability to be successful in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects.
  • Relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
