Under minimal guidance, the Business Analyst is responsible for collecting and understanding business requirements and implementing system configuration changes to meet or exceed those requirements. BA will also support the review and prioritization of the backlog of projects. 
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed business systems and processes to identify and implement improvements and opportunities to meet business unit objectives in smaller, less complex processes.  
  • Recommend system changes, document business rules as well as conduct “as-is” and “to-be” process flowchart processes and then document the results.
  • Create user stories/use cases, process and data flows and scenarios to clearly communicate a set of functional requirements.  
  • Configure and maintain transportation and warehouse software to support end users. Implement proposed system changes.
  • Resolve business problems for internal and external customers by utilizing problem solving and analytical skills and documenting the "why" and "what" of the business problem.
  • Communicate with software architects and developers utilizing technical background.
  • Support both internal and external users with system troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Document issue resolution processes and communicate standard operating procedures across team members.
  • Perform other job- related duties and special projects as required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education Course(s) of study: Business, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, MIS, or BCIS.
  • Individual must have demonstrated high analytical and problem-solving abilities since they are very critical to the success. 
  • Warehouse management system experience a plus. 
  • Must have a technical background and ability to communicate with software architects and developers. 
  • Must have documentation and communication skills.  
  • Requires excellent presentation skills.  
  • Must be able to communicate analytical and process information to non-analytical staff.   
  • Job requires documentation of business and data requirements, attention to detail.  
  • Requires ability to create user stories/use cases, process and data flows and scenarios to clearly communicate a set of functional requirements. 
  • Requires good customer service and relationship building.  
  • Must have the ability to multi-task under time constraints and set priorities and accomplish duties with little supervision and direction.
