Logistics Analyst
Ruan is hiring a Logistics Analyst!  This person will assign loads and determine optimal routing.  Conduct pricing analysis and complete requests for pricing/quotes.  Conduct analysis, determine cost impact, and propose various routing scenarios to re-optimize network and determine optimal solutions.
  • Extract freight orders from customer system and assign loads and routing to facilities across the country.  Work independently and use discretionary judgment to re-work existing loads based upon customer needs or altered shipping requirements.
  • Maintain high level of customer service.  Provide timely communication of routing information.  Resolve customer concerns related to routing, customer orders, loads, reporting, or other related issues.
  • Conduct analysis and make recommendations for changing parameters to optimize delivery network.  Perform cost-benefit analysis, propose various routing scenarios to re-optimize entire network, and determine optimal solutions.    
  • Conduct pricing analysis and complete requests for pricing/quotes (RFP/RFQ).
  • Create and deliver presentations to customers in an effort to retain and grow business and increase profitability.
  • Perform other job related duties and special projects as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    Course(s) of study:  Supply Chain Logistics, engineering, business, finance or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience performing analytical, supply chain, logistics, operations, and/or related type work.
  • Needs basic understanding of DOT Hours of Service regulations.  Requires strong analytical and mathematical skills.  Must have ability to perform cost analysis.  Requires proficiency in MS Excel and strong computer skills. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.  Requires courteous and articulate phone skills.  Must be detail oriented with extreme accuracy.  Ability to set priorities and accomplish duties of position with little supervision and direction.
