During July 28 – 30, Ruan will host our ninth annual Top Technician Competition in Des Moines, Iowa, bringing in nine skilled diesel technicians from our shops across the nation to compete for a top three spot and advance to the national TMC SuperTech competition.
This event is designed to showcase the skills, caliber, and competitiveness of our professional technicians. To compete, eligible Ruan technicians must complete a 100-question online assessment over maintenance knowledge. From there, Ruan leaders review the top scores, along with the dedication and professionalism showcased in each individual’s day-to-day work.
We are thrilled to announce this year’s technicians who have achieved and been selected as part of Ruan’s 2026 event!

Soon, the nine technicians will be on site for the hands-on portion of the competition. Each individual will be fairly challenged through 11 separate skills stations. One will be named the winner.
Beyond the competition, our competitors will have the opportunity to engage in other activities and initiatives that help shape our future strategies at Ruan. We look forward to their visit and wish them the best of luck next week!
