Ruan’s operational team members work together to safely and efficiently deliver our customers’ products every day. We are proud of our teams for carrying out this complex and difficult assignment with professionalism and dedication, especially as our industry presents new opportunities and challenges. We created our Operation of the Year program five years ago to recognize our operations’ outstanding performance in demonstration of our Guiding Principles.
While our Operation of the Year program originally only recognized our operations serving Dedicated Contract Transportation customers, we’re pleased to now include our Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) operations too. These teams provide an array of non-asset services such as warehousing, managed transportation, and brokerage, among many others. We named three SCS finalists this year, and they were judged alongside our dedicated operations finalists in the areas of customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and innovation, financial performance, and commitment to our Megasafe culture.
The following 2017 Operation of the Year Finalists were selected by vice presidents of operations as the top performers in their business units. From the 12 finalists, our senior leadership team further narrowed the group to a Winners’ Circle of three honorees, and the leaders of our Winners’ Circle operations will be honored in July at our annual Founder’s Days Celebration. There, we will announce the 2017 Operation of the Year.
