DES MOINES, IA -- Ruan, a leading transportation and logistics provider based in Des Moines, Iowa, has announced the successful deployment of Mastery Logistics’ MasterMind platform at its Nampa, Idaho, operation. This implementation marks the first fleet-based go-live for Ruan on the MasterMind system and represents a significant milestone in the company's ongoing technology transformation.
Since beginning its phased implementation of MasterMind in 2021, starting with brokerage and back-office workflows, Ruan has made strategic progress towards full platform adoption as new features have been enabled in its environment. The Nampa operation is the first to fully leverage MasterMind’s asset-based transportation management capabilities in a live fleet setting, demonstrating a scalable implementation strategy designed to build a flexible, future-ready system that enhances visibility, automation, and performance across Ruan’s transportation network.
The Nampa site was selected as the first location due to its manageable size and legacy dispatch system, making it an ideal environment for initial asset-based deployment. The implementation introduced centralized order management, improved dispatch functionality, an integration with Ruan’s electronic logging device (ELD) solution, which provides real-time visibility into tractor locations and driver Hours of Service (HOS), as well as an integration with Ruan’s proprietary driver workflow application, leveraging MasterMind’s available APIs to enable the integration. The workflow application integration enables drivers to manage routes and update load details directly in the app, with real-time updates flowing back into MasterMind to improve visibility across every stage of the route.
By utilizing MasterMind’s fleet-specific workflows, the Nampa team is now able to access both live and projected HOS, allowing for more efficient load planning and resource management. These features, combined with real-time telematics data, enable dispatchers to make faster, more informed decisions that directly improve operational performance.
