Recruiting Specialist
A Driver Recruiting Specialist will work with Operation leadership and will manage the entire driver recruiting process to efficiently and effectively hire drivers needed in a timely manner. They will assist with local sourcing strategies, actively onboard candidates through various communication methods, and maintain consistent communication with the operation and candidate.
  • Manage the driver recruiting process for a designated region by communicating frequently with field managers to understand hiring needs.  Provide proactive analysis of recruiting issues and develop solutions to assist field managers with recruiting/hiring decisions.
  • Communicate with Operation Managers regarding recruiting needs, job specifications, qualifications and skills required of candidates.
  • Develop effective recruiting strategies for the region to attract qualified applicants. Compile and analyze data to make recommendations regarding the most cost-efficient advertising sources to utilize for recruiting.
  • Interview driver candidates and either refer or decline candidates based on qualifications.
  • Analyze documentation to determine if candidates meet Ruan qualification standards and DOT regulations. Compile all necessary documentation for driver files.
  • Host hiring calls that operation staff and leaders attend.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Course(s) of Study: Operations/Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Business, Communications or Marketing preferred.
  • 3-5 year’s industry experience preferred. High volume recruiting experience preferred in addition to employee having basic knowledge of DOT rules and regulations. 
  • Must have strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).  Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload in a multi-task environment.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.  Must be able to work in a high call volume environment.
