Inside Sales Associate
 
Responsible for lead generation, including vetting prospective customers, engaging various contact roles (user, financial decision maker, technical, coach), and determining transportation and logistics needs of prospective clients.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Generate new sales opportunities for Ruan services, including Dedicated Contract Transportation, Managed Transportation, Value-Added Warehousing, and Brokerage Services.
  • Manage and update contact information in the CRM database to ensure accuracy.  
  • Research potential accounts and identify key contacts within each company.
  • Determine customer needs, volume potential, and fit within Ruan's business model.
  • Assist in managing the RFI process and gating documents.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales VPs on territory and industry specific sales strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer business relationships and working relationships with co-workers, including all levels of Ruan management, the outside sales team, marketing team, and other corporate support staff.
  • Work with marketing to develop new and innovative campaigns to reach qualified prospects.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience.
  • Must have outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork in accomplishing goals and objectives.  
  • Must possess the ability to interact, communicate and present with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  •  Must act professionally and represent Ruan positively.  
  • Needs ability to set priorities and accomplish tasks.  
  • Must be able to utilize a variety of prospecting tools and databases.  
  • Strong computer skills required including the proficient use of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and demonstrate the ability to learn and efficiently navigate related software such as Salesforce, InsideView, Data.com, etc.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
