Develop, manage, and expand relationships with the customers.  Administer programs, policies and initiatives to proactively ensure highest level of service to our customers and operations.  Responsible for implementing, administrating, and monitoring many aspects of the transportation business within Ruan.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments for a customer.
  • Develop, manage, and expand business relationships with the customers.  Proactively identify customer issues and recommend process resolutions.
  • Measure, analyze and develop reports which provide KPI information, trend analysis, and identification of business issues that need to be addressed.
  • Perform customer service functions in regards to request from customers.
  • Identify and proactively recommend cost savings and improvements based upon business and customer needs to increase profitability and efficiencies through understanding existing or prospective business and distribution system processes.
  • Develop, manage, and expand business relationships with the customers.  Proactively identify customer issues and recommend process resolutions.
  • May supervise and provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communications, recruiting, training, coaching, counseling, appraising, rewarding, developing, and succession planning.  
  • Perform other job-related duties and projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    Course(s) of study:  Business, Transportation, Logistics or related field of study
  • 3-5 years’ experience in and/or working knowledge of transportation industry dealing with customer relations and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Must have working knowledge of dispatch, transportation management and logistics solutions, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to effectively communicate.  Must have excellent relationship building and customer service skills.  Must have good financial acumen and analytical abilities.  Employee should have broad knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.  Must have good computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).  Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload in a multi-task environment and work independently.  Must have strong verbal and written communication and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.
