Ruan Transportation Management Systems has once again been named to Inbound Logistics’ list of 75 Green Supply Chain Partners (G75). Transportation companies are chosen for the list by Inbound Logistics editors based on four benchmarks: measurable green results, sustainability innovation, continuous improvement and industry recognition.
Ruan views sustainability as not only good business, but also as a moral imperative. We are dedicated to making our trucks and supply chains solutions as clean and efficient as possible. We accomplish this by continually examining our processes to ensure that we minimize our impact on the environment while achieving cost savings for our customers.
“We are honored to be recognized again by Inbound Logistics as a Green Supply Chain Partner,” said James Cade, Vice President - Fleet Services. “Ruan continues to prioritize environmental stewardship and the responsibility we have in creating a sustainable future.”
Several of Ruan’s customers are serviced through compressed natural gas (CNG) fleets, with our Fair Oaks Farms operation alone displacing 1.8 million gallons of diesel annually. Ruan is an official SmartWay Partner and a three-time SmartWay Excellence Award recipient. Ruan is also a member of a public-private initiative with the Department of Energy’s Clean Cities program called the National Clean Fleets Partnership (NCFP).
